You Should Play Hollow Knight
Hollow Knight is incredible. That, unfortunately, can’t be the entirety of the article, but it’s definitely a good summary of it. Hollow Knight, for those who haven’t heard of it somehow, is an impressively tough Metroidvania game that takes a little bit from the Souls series as well. It has you playing as one very cute little bug who has to throw down against a variety of other bugs and also sometimes god?
It’s the kind of hard that’s going to frustrate people, but if you can push through and commit to mastering the systems you’ll have a blast. Aside from the difficulty, the thing that makes Hollow Knight so good is just the gameplay, but also the music, and also the graphics. Basically, it’s everything about the game, and the reason you hear people talking about it so much is that it’s more than worthy of all of the praise. It’s also a game that’s been updated substantially since it launched, and that means that if you’ve not played it since launch that you should go back and check it out again.
We’re also highly likely to see the sequel, Hollow Knight: Silksong this year too. These are all good reasons to play the game even if you’ve played it before, but also very good reasons to jump in for the first time if you’ve yet to succumb to the buggy glory of Hollow Knight. Just keep in mind that bugs are friends in real life, so don’t take out your frustrations with the game on them.
